Panasonic RX-DF65, Star Wars with George Lucas! Plus a bunch more boombox commercials. Radio R should like these.

Sorry, I should have downloaded it, lost to history.....

Sony WA-Series, eight dollars at Hard-Off, I didn't see any there but I'll check next time. They actually go through and fix this model.

Pioneer Commercials, most of these are really cool, there's a few boombox commercials sprinkled in.

Used to have one of these RQs, a gift from friends.
Still at home but not functioning. :( Panny isn't that old Panny which it's used to be.

I wonder how much New Kids on the Block got paid for that advert? I also wonder if Bon Jovi even knew they were in a Sanyo advert as there doesn't appear to be any link between them and the boombox. Interesting how every advert appears to be for a top of the range box.

I was trying to think of any UK adverts. These Toshiba ones were made specifically for the U.K. based on the song "Ullo John Gota New Motor" by comedian Alexi Sayle and performed by pop star Ian Dury. Having watched through them all the later ones are more amusing.

From the style I wonder if this advert was made for Japan then re-voiced for the UK.

I had an FST when I was younger, I really liked it alot, those were the days when USA TVs were just about all gone but the Japanese TVs were less expensive, much better looking and new models were being introduced all of the time.

Not much audio, but Philips / technology fans will probably enjoy this one.

How many of the things they are predicting are commonplace these days.
The home video title in the film is 1985 so i would guess the film is from around then.

Videos like that would show up late at night on our PBS Stations (public broadcasting), as a kid we thought all of that stuff was so cool. I used to try and play that early version of flight simulator, I could never get it to land! The dated synth music is awesome....

A boombox sighting at 0:16 but the Superscope Dual CD Player/Recorder is pretty cool as well.
