    Youtube just recommended these to me







    They are Japanese so I had never seen them before
    I wonder how much George and Andrew got paid for these ?

    I commented on this, but it must have been vaporware! My boombox in the B&B thread was playing some Wham, I'm not surprised that they did commercials in Japan.

    Over here it's been a known secret that Hollywood Stars would do commercials in Japan but not here, they didn't want to dilute their brand. Over the last few years that's changed but if you look for 80's-90's Japanese Commercials there's a lot of Hollywood People.

    Have you seen the film "Lost in Translation"? It is about that very subject

    It was seeing it that made us want to go to Japan in 2006 a visit as many of the places in the film as possible.

    If you just watched the trailer you should recognise this Bar/Restaurant

    Of course we did get to see a few things not in the film. This was literally just down the road from our hotel on the way to the nearest station.

    Is that the Marantz Building I posted in the Marantz Thread? Nope, I just checked, the Marantz Building had rounded corners but really looks similar.

    I love seeing movie sites when I travel, I love the movie Ramen Girl but never did find the little soup shop. The Beastie Boys also did one of their videos over there.
