40mm outer diameter and about 30mm inner diameter. Not interested in one pair for $10 on Amazon. Would rather prefer 50 pairs or 500 pairs for $10 or something along these lines. Please, don't suggest me to search eBay or Alibaba, as I already did that and found nothing. I would be grateful for detailed info where to buy these in bulk (but not tens of thousands, I don't need that many).
Try Retrospekt, they carry a ton of crap, email and ask for Lucy. With the amount of reproductions they offer, they must have a source. Retrospekt.com. check em out....
I know about them. They definetely have a source. Why would they divulge their supplier if they sell a pair for $10? Although you are right, emailing would not hurt. Thanks.
You asked about Orange Pads, not headphones, thus the reason for emailing them about it. Good luck in your endeavors.....
Yes, I am looking for a small batch of orange foam pads cheap, not for a pair for $10. But maybe they can give me a discount for a small batch. Thanks.
Nothing on eBay. You can find something like this, but they are crappy, they are not cylindrical, they have a rounded edge and with a visible seam, they are black, and they are too expensive for about $1 a pair. I found ones that are less than $2 for 5 pairs, but they are 50mm, not 40mm. Even if they were 40mm, they are not orange. I have to admit, Retrospekt has ones that look proper, as if they are cut off a long orange tube, so they have a sharp edge. But I am not going to pay $10 for a pair of them. Anyway, I am not asking to search on the Internet for me. I am just asking that IF you ALREADY know where to get small batches of them cheap, I would appreciate the info
It's come up several times in the past, I think the companies buying them have to get 100's but at the end of the day they only sell dozens of them. If they sold them all in a short time, they'd be a fraction of the price.
Two minutes to find four for about $10. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-Vint...4caf938b78e4e8f8c412|ampid:PL_CLK|clp:2334524 somehow I think it will be cheaper to buy complete headphones like this. Go up to a larger quantity and I'm sure they would be cheaper.
$30 for two pairs? Too expensive. As I said, I want a small batch of several dozen. I don't need headphones.
I can't see the price you are seeing but the listing is for Two pairs of headphones. £6.95 for two. $9.59 by my calculation. Buy more and the price goes down. $30 for eight pairs - 16 pads. I know you don't want the headphones but it could well be the cheapest way to get pads unless you are prepared to buy thousands. When I needed a new battery for a stick type MP3 player it was cheaper to buy a whole MP3 player and take the battery out than to buy an individual battery. In both cases we were talking about "No Name" products like these headphones.
$30 including delivery to the U.S. Buying stuff only to throw it away is not an option. Too much junk produced and discarded already. Thanks for looking them up, I appreciate it. "$30 for eight pairs - 16 pads." - I would prefer $30 for 80 pads or cheaper I guess, for this pricing I need to order several thousands. P.S. The last photo in this listing is weird: cassette in a gutted out Walkman, there are no spindles. Or it is a bad photoshop
Yes free delivery in the UK. I am surprised they are at a UK wholesaler. Most stuff like this comes direct from China. It wouldn't surprise me if the wholesaler pays £1 a pair for these. Spare parts are always expensive. Years ago they used to say that Ford made the majority of its money selling spare parts, and that if you assembled a car from the spare parts it would cost four or five times the price of one on the showroom floor (says the person who paid over £10 for a tiny rubber mat that fits in the ashtray which he lost while cleaning his car).
Well I resorted to these. They are on EBay and cost around $7 inc postage from EU. Agree you can buy bags of 30,50 or 100 if they are black for under $5 but orange no. Also none I have found are square cut. All are rounded. Not sure how long any of the cheaper black foams would last either. If you bought a heap of them they would be dust after a few years given the dubious quality of some I have bought recently. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vintage...-/264913156658?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
@Silverera Yes, these would work. This is the style I want, square cut, no seam. Thanks, I searched for them on ebay.ie and ebay.uk, found two sellers on the ebay.uk, one does not seem to ship to the U.S., another estimates £20 for shipping !! For three pairs of foam pads. Ugh. This would be a pretty good deal if I were in the U.K., and if the pads were in stock. Will be watching that website. Found these on eBay, I wonder who are those 18 watchers
Oh really. The seller in Ireland shipped mine down under for around $4. The whole deal was less than $10AUD. I tried to reorder but got pushed onto "similar" items by eBay which were nothing like similar. I have contacted the seller to see if he intends getting more. The Soundlab ones seem good to me and I have friends in the EU who are very happy with them for use on MDR-L2 headsets. I did find another brand, Commtel, which I assume you also found but the postage is 6 times what I paid for the set I bought last year. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124412860816
No, I found the SoundLab ones: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223679874615 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223682096479?var=522402984077
Yep but the postage cost is ridiculous. The guy I bought from, Ian, has responded. He has plenty of stock but has temporarily closed his eBay store due to losses and other delivery issues during Covid. He intends to reopen the store but cannot say when. That's ok by me as I am only going to buy more if I can get the same deal as last time.
At less than the price of a Coffee including postage I have just ordered some of those to see what the fuss is about. I think I could send these to the USA for £4.20. Part of the problem is Ebay stipulating tracking which would double that price. Having said that when I am selling on eBay I always send tracked and signed. I sympathise with the guy closing his eBay store. From selling a couple of items each week for over ten years I stopped selling in March 2020. The combination of three lockdowns and having to self isolate in December makes me think that was the right decision. I wouldn't want to sell an item then not be able to post it.
I was very surprised with his price for shipping also. Then there are exceptions on EBay like the guys at Decktek with the Walkman belts. They also ship to AUS for around $10 for WM-EX674 belt including postage. The belts are very good and arrived 9 days after purchase. That was last year, no telling what the situation is like now with Covid and lockdowns in Britain. Often the shipping price is over the top because many sellers don't want the problems with international taxes and customs so they send via Global Shipping. I have had very good experiences with this program out of both the US and UK but it is not cheap and for low value and light weight items like the Commtel branded headphone foams I just bought you have to wonder if its worth it. Here is the Decktech link on EBay. Still less than $2 to ship so why do some sellers go with Global Shipping? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323693827766
