I spoke with this "Audiovox" guy and I asked him about those cassettes.
Believe it or not , but all those "Audiovox" reels are made of plain steel ..:iconconfused:
Those reels will damage your records and your tape because
steel is a magnetic metal  .
In addition ,they rub against cassette walls
because nothing protects them from friction
and that makes them stuck and in a few minutes of usage you'll see
circular scratches or blurriness on your transparent cassette case..
And the cherry on cake - small rust spots instead of prints on your reels
    will appear in a while..:shit:

Reels must be made of non-magnetic materials only !
Absence of Friction Between Reels and Cassette walls is A MUST .

What is the max play duration of reel-to-reel cassettes? 52 minutes as it is shown on the reels, that is, 26 minutes per side?

@ReelCassetteStore: so for 42 minutes total playback time you use thicker tape from 60-minute cassettes?

    Yes, Sir.
    This is the best way.
I can do more tape, but when the tape roll is bigger than
reel diameter - it doesn't look right.
In addition thick tape is better and more reliable if we're talking
    about older boomboxes.
Check the typical numbers of original reel cassettes -
    they are 42 , 46 , 52 , 60 and 90 min
90 min is available only on latest models like TEAC CRC 90 where tape rolls are bigger than reels diameter - see the attachment
