Hi friends! I think that could be very interesting to show our stocked cassette tapes for the future...
Need to get more SA60's. For me they seem to be the most reliable. Very difficult to find any good blank cassettes in Australia.
More tapes, in this case 30 Basf model Record II What do tou think about this.model? I hope that these tapes matches better my Sony 909ES deck specs, than other Basf tapes. If not i would have to sale them...
This is a great thread, here's some of mine, I have more but they're boxed away upstairs and I can't easily get them.
Being as LPs have come back, albeit on cheesy reissue labels at high prices, I wonder if the cassette will come back and maybe vinyl singles. Cassettes are handy to go out with and listen to on a walkman, to play records you'd need a big heavy portable turntable either in a ghetto blaster (i.e., Sharp's V2000) or one of those coloured ones like a dansette of the 60s, still probably heavy to carry if you put LPs inside it and batteries.
I had the opportunity to add to my collection of sealed NOS cassettes in the past month. The first item is one I found at my local mini flea market, yesterday: The two Elcaset blank tapes were ones I received from the same owner of the Sony EL-7 which I had purchased from him a few months back. He found them and emailed me to give me first chance to purchase them. I am a fan of Pioneer so I purchased this large lot of re-branded Pioneer cassettes: Nando.
Nando, those are beautiful tapes. I got two boxes of sealed M1 years ago and I still have most of them I don't know why I didn't post a photo of my stock for the future... I've got 165 album cassettes which I intend to keep hold of as I've got many decks to play them on, used to have some 300 of them but replaced nearly half on CD because they got chewed up or nicked
I'm out in town at the moment using my laptop but maybe when I get home I'll post a photo of all my cassette cases open
Ok, here are all of my album cassettes, 161 at the moment but I'll be buying 4 more very soon so it will be 165. Besides that I've got nearly as many blank tapes I recorded off Radio One in the 70s and 80s - Friday Rock Show, John Peel Show, Fluff's Saturday Rock Show in the 90s.
