Not sure what are the rules of this thread. First I thought that videos must show walkmans or boomboxes, but many included videos do not show them. So, I am posting my own video mix, which runs for 30 minutes, so the audio can be recorded on one side of a 60-minute cassette: Track List: 01 Tangerine Dream - Love On A Real Train 00:00 02 Above & Beyond Live (ABGT200) - Chicane 'Saltwater' 02:03 03 Chicane - Offshore - Played by The Ulster Orchestra 06:28 04 Pulser - In My World 09:00 05 Cerf, Mitiska and Jaren & Rank 1 - Witness 10:27 06 NERVO feat Kylie Minogue, Jake Shears, Nile Rodgers - The Other Boys 13:09 07 Zinc - Show Me 15:54 08 Emma Hewitt - Rewind (Mikkas Remix) 19:05 09 Kaskade & deadmau5 - Move For Me 22:18 10 Kaskade - 4 AM (Adam K & Soha Mix) 25:05 This is an updated version of my earlier mix, I had to replace The Chemical Brothers - The Test with Kaskade - 4AM, because the whole video was blocked due to claims regarding The Test.
CDV I started this thread. The rules are, share the music you are enjoying. Hopefully it would expose the rest of us to something new or something we have not heard for a while and if we like it so much we may even go out and purchase it. I have bought many tracks and albums from this thread, because I have been inspired by them. One thing, hopefully people will not record what they like from this thread but go out and purchase it. Encouraging people to record it is illegal and deprives the artist of royalties.
I would add this little interview .... where you can get it some musical ideas David Letterman Show - Led Zeppelin [3-12-12, SUB ITA] - YouTube
Here is another for @nickelindimer Pat forgot to take off here coat and gloves when she got to the studio
After seeing dozens of performances and outfits like Pat's I'm not going say what my reaction was when I saw this video for the very first time on Top of the Pops.
Today it's "partytime" - 500 copys limited white vinyl arrived yesterday. I ordered in January.... Awesome! Waiting time was worth in all dimensions. For those who never heard about this Band/Group: Saada Bonaire is the fantastic disco/world music project duo out of Bremen, Germany that was never meant to be. Formed by Bremen DJ Ralf Behrendt in 1982, Saâda Bonaire was a unique concept band centered around two sultry female vocalists (Stefanie Lange and Claudia Hossfeld) who would be joined by dozens of local musicians culled from the local immigration center. Originally signed to EMI in 1982, their first and only single, “You Could Be More As You Are” was produced in Kraftwerk’s studio by legendary Matumbi, Slits and Pop Group producer Dennis Bovell. There they were joined by jazz icon Charlie Mariano (previous collaborations include Gong, Stan Kenton and Charles Mingus) who lent his talents on saxophone. The resulting sound was a unique fusion of husky female vocals, Eastern instruments, dub and African music aesthetics, drum computers and synthesizers.
