yes i have. when i bought the 950, i was also looking for idlers 927 and 930. in the end choose the 950, because the idlers need every month to be calibrated. besides it took at least 15 minutes for a 927 to get "warmed-up". i've also noticed people who had all the emt's, used the 950 the most. that's why i had chosen for the 950, it's more practical

So I cobbled something together back in the shop, everything used to work but now most of it needs a little refreshing. It took three tries to find a TT that held a constant speed and in the end this Pioneer PL-510A bested a couple nice mid-70's Technics, which was kind of sad, they are nice tables but the RCA Jacks were toast. I cracked open a box of records that hadn't seen the light of day for over six years and found some awesome gems including this Peter Gabriel 3 with the awesome "Games Without Frontiers" track on it, what a classic from 1980, I up-paid for it, the tag says $4.98 USD but I've never seen it before in my hunts. The system is a Hitachi Lo-D MK II, it sounds great but the little speakers can only do so much and it doesn't like higher volume. The LEDs are on, I'm not sure why they don't show up in this photo.

In case anybody is wondering or cares, the desk came from a 3M Auction, its a pretty cool unit with tons of outlets and an anti-static surface, perfect for working on old junk.

I have never liked the acoustics of the Royal Albert Hall, this live recording there has not changed that. But still the music is good. :thumbsup2:

Back in the shop, I had to crack another box open, it's like buried treasure..... This one had one of my favorites and classic from the 80's, the bad boy of pop funk, Rick James! I paid up for this $4.98 USD in 2009 but it was worth it.

I'm impressed with the Pioneer, it's holding speed perfectly even though it hasn't had much use over the last 15 years.
