How many sound burgers were there?

Thanks for the pictures. Looking at outside photos it wasn't even obvious that there is a conventional tonearm buried inside the lid.

Is the mechanism auto-return ? I guess the Size selector knob on top sets the start position by moving the arms start point.

Nice! I'd love to find one of those, I feel like in the next few years the cool little tables will be ultra-collectable, they just don't turn up much and they are so groovy!

Yep, the size selector sets the start position, and locks it up for safe transport, and in "auto-speed" mode it sets the speed for a 7"to 45 rpm, and a 10" and 12" to 33 rpm.

    Auto-return.....
In a way it is! After playing you record, you open the lid, and gravity makes the stylus auto return to the start position.

    Looks like were back online!
Here's a cool General Electric RP 3100, too bad it's a little out of my price range. It looks like it would clean up nicely.

A little larger than most of these, this Philips is still impressive, I don't see a model number and I hope some idiot didn't try playing a disc that was meant for a toy turntable. I might do some late-night research for the beer and boombox thread and pounce on this one, I love the way the closed box looks.

This is a really wild version, it looks like a transistor radio from the outside but it has an internal record player. I can't read the model number, maybe Sharp FXG-700?

Yes; and it still has the Techmoan's approval (he used it again recently)

Do I need a new one when I already have an old one ?

This came up on Ebay, a National Panasonic SG-100 that resembles an early Sound Burger. This version has a radio and cassette, maybe the first to have all three? I have an early JVC but I don't know which when these came out.

    Techmoan's Flamingo.

Sony Flamingos go for silly money these days making a Sound Burger look cheap, especially now you can choose between a 1980s Sound Burger or a brand new one with a guarantee.

Well I got this one here in the box and a little red cloth bag thing to go over it

I'm working on something else right now, but here's inside the box for not getting it all out right now

Here's the top of the box

On the bottom it says audio-technica Corp made in Japan.

Nice, I'm assuming it's the original? They're making them again with bluetooth.
