A little bigger than a mini-stereo but kind of nice looking, maybe even beefy for a little all-in-one, anybody have one of these Pioneer MS-6500 from 1977? I've never seen this before and at 18 watts a channel it probably gets pretty loud.

It seems to only be found in the areas listed in the ad. It looks like Pioneer used decent mid-fi equipment to put it together and it has that looks that screams Made By Pioneer.

We've talked about these wall mount flat stereo, there were a few versions, the Technics is one of the cooler ones. Sorry about the quality it's from microfilm.

Here is a review of the speakers. http://www.hifi-classic.net/review/technics-sb-r100-454.html
They weren't cheap. I wasn't at all surprised to see the advert was from the U.K.
One of the things we have in common with Japan is small houses. The Sharp VZ3500 vertical stereos were very popular here.

I'd love to find a Clarity, I like knobs but the pure excess of those buttons is grabbing me!

I'll have to find more info on those Technics Speakers, each band is decoupled from the others, three different bands? I bet there's some patent drawings out there with some clarification on how they work or maybe an old issue of Stereo Sound. At the end of the day all of the latest and greatest never seemed to excel without traditional help.
