Got my 80's tape in my Panasonic RX-SR550, plugged in to the Sony SEQ-50 portable equalizer, into my Bose headphones!
Yes, they do - too much, in my opinion. I happened to get this one for cheap, because it "didn't work". Just needed a battery terminal cleaned, and it works great.
"Deals" do pop up, I've got several new ones ready for uploading to threads, but you have to be patient and cast a wide net. That EQ is one of the most collectable accessories that it's at another level, it would be interesting to know the sales numbers, I bet a lot were sold off cheap, I don't think they fit the mood of a small portable cassette player in the 80's so there's not many left. I never had the nice units, as a kid with no money I had to live with players like the Sportster's but they did their duty until they got shredded during midnight skateboard runs.
Yes like my fh 215....£250 all in....there is a nutter asking over 2 grand for the same one........lad....mine was missing the side plates and handle but i took them off one of my 909 lad..if i wanted to sell i could probbably get silly money but i have never been in this game for all that nonsense............i could have had many of those eq for about 50...but i was never interested in them to this day
Which they probably bought in a charity shop in Didcot for £25. https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/showthread.php?t=96992 I just found that old thread while checking what an FH215 was.
