Is this the first video clip? Does anyone still remember this term, "video clip"? It seems to be long forgotten in the U.S., but it have found a new life in non-English speaking countries.

Here's a catchy retro-country song from mystery man Orville Peck that's been burning up our local alternative radio station

Billy Squire was huge with in the early 80's, Emotions in Motion was a killer follow up to Don't Say No (1981) just one year before. The video looks like it was out of someone's dirty basement with members of Queen on background vocals but it's hard to hear them.

Never saw LA Guns in their prime but they reunited around 2002 up here and I've seen them a lot, one of their best songs, always a great closer!

There's some cool band history videos showing up on YouTube, sometimes I think they just read what everyone else says about history and repeat. Nirvana didn't kill heavy metal, crappy releases by every big band did, Nirvana snuck in and put out hard guitar songs, the opposite of what the labels were doing at the time, yep, way too many ballads and cheezy rock songs. I bought Nevermind (cassette) on the day it was released, another myth that it snuck in, nope it had major air play before it was released.
Skid Row went the other direction, their 2nd album was a guitar feast carried into the 3rd. I wore this tape out but I still have it!

    Killer live video in Japan!

"Happiness does exist. It is not possible that it would not be so." - the voice of Raisa Gorbachev, the wife of Mikhail Gorbachev. He died a couple of days ago aged 91. Raisa died in 1999 from leukemia. He loved her very much, they were everywhere together, holding hands. Russians would laugh him off for "non-manly" behavior, but in the hindsight he was a great man.

The track... well, it is probably more primitive than Robert Miles's Children, still it is carefree and hopeful unlike the hateful garbage they play now on Russian TV.

More like "Enjoy the Video". Now we know why manufacturers started putting perfect still on their VCRs :redface
I can guarantee that Top of the Pops would never have shown that. They had enough problems with Sabrina's video. letterboxing it to hide the "wardrobe malfunctions".

apologies for the poor transfer but I can't find a better one.
I probably have this on a Now VHS cassette somewhere.

I had to look them up, they actually had a few hits in the 80's but I don't think they ever showed up over here?
