I noticed some strange looking headphones by Yamaha, the YHL-006. Apparently designed by Porsche, I have never seen these before. The screenshot below is from Hi-Fi News 1985, issue October. The entire issue (and many, many more) you can download here: HI-FI NEWS: High-end UK monthly audio magazine starting 1958 (worldradiohistory.com)
Those look cool but they aren't too expensive for a "Porsche Design?" I wonder what happened to them?
Here's a pair for sale on Reverb.com, definately cool looking, none on ebay. It looks like the roll down and there's a 1/2 sphere for the cans. https://reverb.com/item/50698401-yamaha-yhl-006-portable-headphones
Looks like Retro posted cut sheets way back in 2012, down in the forum reader Retro always had some great catalog posts, this is probably the only copy around?
Thanks for posting these! The new model number has a thread here: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/yamaha-porsche-designed-headphones.168993/page-4 Philips sold these rebranded as SBC-3145.
