I like the look of those later round models, I've got my eye on one to maybe check out first hand. It sounds like CDs are coming back now that you can buy them at the thrifts for cheap.
The D-Z555 Discman. Needs capacitors changing. Left/right balance ok. Just not as loud as it should be. Still perfectly listenable.
Looked up some high quality pictures, it is a very special one! Great to see it still works after all these years.
The Sony D-100 (10) rom 1986. Unfortunately mine is not working but still good to look at occasionally.
I recently went through some catalogs, and the 'thinness' of this one stood out. My Japanese is as good as my Chinese, so you need to use Google Lens or something to translate.
Emiel. Always liked the white version but never saw one here in the U.K. It as the first CD portable I bought and a very good headphone out.
