Yea, I'm not buying it, it's much different looking and more like a entry-level Hong-Kong Model. What's the deal with the box photo? It looks like a version of hell with the girl trying to get a way from the world's creepiest guy, but she'll have to peddle forever! Either that or the clouds are farts and he's enjoying a sniff?

Yes, it is not a clone of T2, but it is clone of Sony TCS-310 made in soviet union.

i don‘t have that one yet, unfortunately due to shipping (and off course because of the missing batter-lid), this must stay where it is

Just read the whole thread and I have another one to add. Unfortunately the brand is rather unknown to me called "SE" or "SC".
All I know so far is that it hasn't been heavily used (Playback head is like a new!) for last 30 years.
Also I got a case for it, but without straps :cry2.

Internals are 100% made in Japan. Matsushita capacitors, transistors and amp IC. Even the DC motor is Matsushita electric made.
Judging from the internals it was made in 1981 or 1982.
Obviously it has some problems. The auto-stop circuit is stopping the motor after a while you press the play button. Talk button is not muting the mic for the left channel after depressing. And the worst nightmare there is some of kind grounding problems :wink2.
For the servicing I'm refering to the Grundig Beat Boy 100 service manual but there are some differencies between those two. I'm still searching for schematic which may be a little closer to this model but no luck so far.

Yeah it's mine. Just bought it few days ago on the aftermarket site.
Needs some love to be working perfectly.
Yes it looks the same as ITT Jogger 800S and 810.

I found this in a car boot sale today. The one I found looks perfect although this is not my photo, can't test it as I don't have the batteries.
This is not strictly a Walkman clone but it has all the functionality of the original Sony Walkman. Does the same thing. Has the dual headphones and the chat microphone. Only bigger.
And has a built in speaker.

That was quite expensive for a clone. $100 in 1980 money.
I don't think 400,000 of those were sold in Europe. Seems a bit of a stretch.

Yea, the first generation clonemans seemed to be priced at 1/2 the Walkman which was still big money back then. I would love to see sales figures on a ton of this equipment but we know that will never happen.
