Picked this up at a car boot sale today. It says Cap 10 as the brand. This has Play and Rewind buttons on the long side and Stop, Forward, and an On/Off type button for Talk Line on the top of the player.
nice one, not a 100% Cloneman - probably shares the mechanics but takes 4 AA‘s - Clonemen need three only
Introducing the 'My Friend' Model! Arrived today am sad about the paint rot but I just had to have this baby!
i‘m quite curious, if this is labelled UNISEF, this is the only real Cloneman with that name. the only units i know, are the other way around, more or less „mirrored“ Clonemen.
The seller says this is Unisef however it doesn't say it anywhere! Will post rear of unit later on when on my desktop pc
autoreverser. How many clones do you have in your collection now? Have you any idea how many were produced?
i try to list the ones i own (find incomplete list attached, there's at least 5 missing/not listed yet), they're well over 60 (plus quite a few doublettes) in my drawers, but i keep finding more (mainly offered for crazy prices) on ebay daily. i must admit, i only list the ones i physically own. my guess is, that there were at least 100 different brands using the Cloneman-base. funny that no one found out yet the initial maker/constructor. my guess is, it's either LG or Samsung - maybe a cooperation of them both ? who knows...
Here's a minty looking Unitech IS-113F but there corrosion around the battery door. https://www.ebay.com/itm/314889830835?
this one moved in today: UNIVERSUM MUSIC MAN (i allways thought, they were all called City Bummler, but nope !) came with original, foldable headphones:
9 Quelle is a German chain of stores. You would be as likely to find a cassette player from them in the U.K. as a cassette player from W.H. Smith in Germany. Speaking of which I wonder if @autoreverser has one of these ?
...off course he has one - the one from the clip, it's called PSCP-1 and got a tunerpack, too. i got it from honoured member @ niccleex himselfe
