That is so odd, I went down a mini rabbit hole last night, I was watching a YouTube on the BeeGees, then Andy came up dating Victoria Principle, then I looked Dallas up and saw a couple boomers! All while playing late night Xbox. I used to love watching Dallas/Knots Landing in the morning, as a young student on summer break. They tell me the faded background is coming back and they're getting it using "vintage" cameras from the 80's, it looks like a Panasonic in the first photo?
Yes I went down the Dallas rabbit hole a while back. Watched episode 1 out of curiosity and ended up getting hooked. Up to season 8 now! That boombox with the TV was an Emerson. Must have cost a fortune back in 1984!
I never watched it when it was first run Friday Nights, too mature for me but it was huge, especially when JR got shot. That's all anybody talked about all summer waiting for the next season to begin. It might be fun to revisit it when out working in the shop. Let us know if you see any more!
i've got that Tv Boombox, quite a solid feeling radio for what it is, but very poor Quality Sound, Very little bass and High Distortion.
