Were the BASF Chromdioxid II cassettes ever re-packaged with the 'Studio Technik' brand name? I can't decide if these are 'spurious' or real. Manufacturers have often re-branded their cassettes under license to other manufacturers/parties of course and BASF is no exception to this. Perhaps these were intended for the professional end of the market - recording studios etc. The shells and labels look very basic as well as a lack of info on the internets which leads me to suspect they may be spurious, but I'm happy to be proven wrong. Any ideas?
This is the only page I'm finding with info but it doesn't help much. https://www.45spaces.com/audio-compact-cassette-blank-tapes/r.php?r=aud252782
Thx Mr.X Yes, I couldn't find much info either. But I did end up concluding that some 'spurious' east Asian cassette manufacturers decided to use the description 'Chromdioxid' in various incarnations as part of their packaging. Naughty. So I decided not to pursue these.
