I have a photo of the prices of JVC ghettoblasters from the 1980s but the RC-M90 is invisible..

for the time it was quite expensive

I had the CEC model and I sold it. Here's a video about it from a few years ago.

I'm surprised the M70 is more than the RC-838, I don't think I ever put mine side by side. The 838 has very unique looks and the Star Wars Look sets it apart.

Cassette2go, what do you think of the quality of the CEC? I was very surprised that their other equipment was in the upper end. They're always on my radar and they must have sold a lot of them but I haven't gotten one yet. Did they ever make a car stereo?

Found on Twitter, it looks like they colorized black and white photos.

"On March 8, 1976, the Kanazawa Meitetsu Marukoshi Department Store in Kanazawa City held a "Spring Radio Cassette Festival," displaying approximately 80 different types of "boom cassette players" in the electrical appliance section on the 5th floor."

Some of my favorites but it looks like Sony wins for display space.

Hello, I recognize my old name that I used in this site called, traveler. As that above post referenced some of my comparison pictures that I took way back when in the year 2012.
I have long since not used ever that handle traveler.

I've seen that name looking back, I had no idea..... I thought it was an early Mystic Traveler. Do you remember the D&D like game called Traveller, it was based in outer space?

David Coverdall from 1974! Fresh off the Deep Purple stage I don't recognize him at all.
