    Hi,
I have Nirvana Nevermind cassette and been using it for atleast over 6 months now. I don't know whether you all know this, but there's a hidden track towards the end my problem is that the cassette plays good audio for all tracks except this one where the voice quality dips down to being extremely feeble in contrast to the opening. Is this something that has to do with the recording itself or should I change something. Also, I hear wave sounds along with the music if that helps.

Try playing it in a different player if you have one, to narrow the problem down to cassette or player. By the way did it play properly before, or have only just noticed the hidden track?

I just noticed the hidden track as I always switch tapes after somethings the way gets over lol. Also, I don't have any other player to try this out but all the other tracks are really clear in terms of output

So you don't really know if it was meant to be like that in the first place. The only way you will truly know is if someone else has the same cassette and can tell you if theirs does the same.

When playing this tape and you get to that point where the music disappears I would pull the tape out and look at the tape and see if it is twisted or misaligned or got eaten in some other player and I would check a few feet back in either direction by pulling the tape out of the cassette and checking to make sure that the tape itself is okay and flat and pretty looking and shiny and all that. That's what I would do and if it's not shiny and pretty and all that then you have a bad tape and need to get another one or make another recording or buy another album on cassette or get it on record and then record it to cassette. That's what I would do.

Maybe find the song on YouTube and see if it sounds the same?

I beat the living crap out of that tape, loaned it to several friends and then one day my buddy said he broke up with the girl he loaned it to. Never saw it again. I was a delivery driver at the time and listened to music in the van all the time, when that song dropped I went straight to the record store and got a cassette. Outside of the main songs, I didn't really like the rest of it.
