This looks a little nicer, anybody have the Philips D-8419? It kind of looks like a Toshiba.

I think this is 1974, if it's before 1970 let me know.

I have a D8443, D8534, D8614, D8644, D8734, All of them work but they all need those gear cogs on the cassette decks because as with most philips now, they've all crumbled to pieces. i also have a Le Cube with 5 speakers, it's a rather odd looking thing but i love it.

I have the 8614 the 8514 and a few other pieces of junk by Philips all having the crumbled gear in the cassette deck and one of them has a plastic handle that crumbled as well. I'm just not thrilled with their brand

Which one is the largest? It looks like the D8734. I've got a couple Magnavox Stereo Microcassette Players, they seem to be ok quality but that first wave had mostly quality players.

The D8734 is Huge, But the the D8644 is even bigger by a few centimetres, and has way more weight to it, because on the D8734 the Speakers boxes are Plastic, but on the D8644 the Speaker boxes are Wood. The D8734 sound "ok" but i find it to sound a little odd, it has ok bass, a bit of highs, but i find them to not have much mid at low volume, when you turn it up past 7 on the volume, the bass gets less and the vocals come up, it's very odd, but saying that, it's a lovely radio, the D8644 is more savage, it really does kick and blasts real loud, i know they get trashed a lot for the swiss cheese cogs, but i can tell you one thing, once those cogs are replaced, those philips decks are very reliable, they hardly ever go wrong, i'd love to fix all mine, but with me needing so many cogs, it will be expensive.
