This was posted on AudioKarma a few years back, holy cow what a collection, lot's of boomboxes included. It took awhile for all the photos to load. No idea who the collector is, hope they are a member here....

I had this one a long time ago and I sold it. I think to a member in here.

I didn't see the Akai PJ-33 in there

I have the speakers to this somewhere?

Akai. PJ -w55 I didn't see it there either

    Here's the front

And then here's the back of it. It takes passive radiators. Tiny little things in the rear. Really can't be rebuilt that I know of.

No, I've never tried to repair this.

AKAI had some beauties and some huge ones, that little PM-06 is a rare gem!

I'm bookmarking this and it's a great insight into the Akai world.

There’s one on eBay that’s been for sale for a long long time.

I had this one time that was enough. I made a video of it. I sold it. I don't want it again. Thanks for the offer. But I'm not interested. I have way too many other walkmans and radios and boomboxes and just too much to be concerned about getting this one again. Thanks!

Just found this from 1974, maybe the first and only R2R, cassette and 8-track, wow!

I’m not sure if I could mount that under the dash of my truck or not lololol.

Does the 8-track player come with a matchbook?

Could probably be mounted under the dash of the passenger side if you don't have any passengers

That’s funny! I had a couple of vehicles with speakers on the floor, in boxes on the back deck, sometimes you had to duck if I hit the brakes hard.
