There's nothing listed next to the T-Tag but definately a nice look box.

The "T" with the line above it. It was used for JDM Units designating the real builder. I would think the Brother's T-tag would have something indicating Sanyo was the builder or maybe Brother built these for Sanyo? Axel of The Vintage Knob website had a forum at one time, there was pages of information on all the manufacturers and who they also built for. There's a link on this forum hosted on archive.org somewhere, it's a great read.

Well you're just going to have to dredge up all those links so I can read them because I'm still not understanding all this. I know what JDM means.

One thing I know about the Brand called
Brother, is that they once made typewriters I thought.

What is the Axle of the vintage knob website about? Never heard of that.

Brother is/was also huge with computer printers! For anybody else, JDM = Japanese Domestic Market, products only meant for local sale.

The Vintage Knob Website is a shell of what it started out being, the owner, Axel, was posting information on killer stereo systems and other great bits of info. Supposedly he was spending a fortune on stereo cut-sheets but ran out of cash. I think he still pops up on audiokarma.org once in a while but the website hasn't been updated in years and the forum is no longer around. The manufacturers list is two parts, so read both!

Both links do work but they're not cell phone friendly and their website is slow. I really don't know what I'm looking for other than seeing some pictures

Hit the 2nd link again, it goes right to the forum link with manufacturer's list.
