Hi everyone, I recently purchased a Panasonic RX DT680 CD/Tape Recorder . I changed the belts and the Tape Decks started playing. I noticed a ridiculous issue with Deck 2. The auto reverse rotating head, where the head plays both side through the same track gives two channel sounds only in the forward direction. While playing the reverse direction there is absolutely no sound in the left channel. I checked the head wiring, all fine even while rotating. What could be the reason? Can anyone help me?
When the head changes directions there's a switch that changes. I can't explain it, but I believe it's a mechanical switch that changes when the head rotates you needs to check that.
