Hi... When I get in my car, I insert a flash drive in my USB port and then listen to all my ripped music from my CDs..... What I would like is a boombox or small stereo for my garage, where I can use a flashdrive like this and insert it in the USB port... and I don't want to throw in my billfold... Can anybody recommend a boombox or small stereo that has a USB port for playing music from a flash drive? Thanks... any and all suggestions appreciated... Dennis
Here get one of these or even buy mine if you want. If you're in the USA cuz I'm not using it. I have way too many radios and this one's got a battery in it so you can power it three ways and it has a USB port and a another port I can't remember. Let's hear, but here's a picture At the back That's upside down. Who knows? Stupid phone
Hey had a boo boo with the phone trying to get a picture of the inside to show you the controls so you can see but here we are just Hopefully that close up of the function switch will get you where you need to be. I'm not taking this thing out of the box and taking pictures of it. You can review it online in some people's YouTube videos, but this is powered by the AC cord, internal lithium ion batteries or 6D batteries. Yes it's got internal batteries so you don't need to add batteries but when the internal batteries go dead you can add 6D batteries to it and still play it and play your cassette line in and all that do you and I'll give you an update picture of the back? Answer me back and I'll ship this to you if you're in the USA or you can buy one of your own online doesn't matter to me. I've got way too many radios here. Let me show you a picture of the room that this is in Okay got to go. Go vote now. Today is 5:00 November 2024 good day!
Welcome to the forum Minnesota! I would recommend getting a bluetooth receiver that plugs into a boombox that has RCA inputs (AUX), that opens up a huge world of options but mostly you can use any phone to transmit. There's a ton of them on Amazon, I'd get one with a rechargable battery. The ION Boombox that C2G recommends is probably an ok value when it goes on sale at $49 but it seems kind of plasticy. The New Wave M90 might be another cool option but I don't think it has USB, it does have bluetooth.
Good luck finding this m90 looking thing because it's like really expensive like maybe $300 or something like that. I haven't priced it recently but it's crazy priced I think
In stock on Amazon for $159.00 https://www.amazon.com/New-Wave-Toy...sprefix=new+wave+toys+m90,aps,118&sr=8-1&th=1
A lot of love was put into some of these products and that aint cheap. Those guys were working on the prototype forever and probably burning through savings like crazy. I can't even imagine how much the molds cost or the break even point.
But now that you brought all that up, why up? What about the elbow cassette player that I like to see to come to the real world cuz they've already made it. They just need to manufacture it and get it out to us ELBOW - The new Walkman Cassette player https://theaudiophileman.com/elbow-cassette/
I'm pretty sure they've figured out it won't work correctly without some back-tension, the builder's site went dark long ago. The record cutting lathe is the one I'd love to see.
This is what I was going to recommend since the OP did not necessarily want to play cassettes or CDs. These units sound amazing for their size, and pair two of them for even more power.
