I'm making a killer boombox with these subs!

    I caught the Williston Video the other night, these little guys are so cool, time to make a real boombox.

    Watch the whole video I did but where would you use this? The only thing I could think of would be is to have a really tiny boombox but then it'd be just too tiny.

    It could be used in a setup where the speaker is a hidden extra bass unit in a tuned enclosure, such as JVC did in the Hyper Bass boomboxes (which I believe was a 4 th order bandpass setup).
    ...unless you need to see that driver moving, of course :)

    I have one of those. I believe it's a JVC PC v55. I think I could go get a picture of it but I know it's buried in the far corner in my radio room and it fully works and I made a video about it way back when and it's for sale if anyone's interested

    I love the little cast iron baskets, we never saw cool tiny speakers back in the day, I'm wondering how much they'd enhance boombox sonics.
