    Hey everyone,

I bought a cheap Philips D8304 Boombox on ebay (image from radiomuseum-bocket.de)
I replaced the belts, cleaned and lubricated the gears and it seems to be working fine now.
The only problem is that the pinch wheel on deck B has a split and needs to be replaced.

I can't seem to find replacement pinch wheels for this specific boombox anywhere.
Does anybody know if there's other boomboxes that use the same mechanism or how I could find a fitting pinch wheel?

    Thanks!

If you share a picture of the actual roller, we may be able the help you.
    Pretty sure it uses a standard roller like 13 x 8 x 2mm or 9 x 7 x 1.5mm.

    Thanks for your reply.
This is the best I could do without disassembling the whole boombox again.

Dimension looks to be 13 x 8 x 2mm or something close to it, but it's unclear if it uses a metal pin or it's the type where pin is part of the hub.
Those where pin is part of the hub look like this: Fixing a cassette deck but Everything Goes Wrong...

If you disassemble the device again and take a picture showing the whole pinch roller, it will become clearer which type it is.

Think it's unlikely to find a roller designed specifically for this model, hence why your best bet is to find one that's like it.

Yeah I believe the pin is part of the plastic like the ones in the video. Alright when I open it again I'll just measure it and try to find one with the right dimensions. Thanks for your help!

    Update:

So I ordered some pinch rollers that had approximately the same size, they didn't spin however (I guess the axle was too thick). So I just took off the rubber from one of the new rollers and put it on the old "rim". Seems to have worked so far!
