My wife and I bought two his and hers Lasonic 931BT, kind of as a pre-Christmas present for each other.

I have the first generation i931 which takes the iPod. I must say there has been an improvement in several categories.
    • The handle is so much more firm and there is NO CREAKING!
    • The radio stations now have full station identification with track name and station format information
    • The bluetooth connects really fast and the signal is really strong even through walls and at a decent distance.
But it makes me wonder, is this the last of Lasonic? 1978 to 2016? From what I have heard, these 931BT are no longer in production and the last of the stock is being sold off. The Black version is not even available any more.

Makes me sad just thinking about it. :emoji_disappointed_relieved:

There is way to go into the settings and increase the bass. Alot of people don't know about this bass boost. I found out about it on you tube.

It would be such a shame for the Las Onich name to go, they need some new products. unfortunately One product cannot sustain a company, I'm not aware of anything else they make at the moment?

I agree Chris Lasonic is definitely still the only one to even come close looking like an 80's boombox!!! They need to expand more to get the public buying, maybe with a bigger unit with cassette deck and Bluetooth like I975 or I935...

Agree totally and with the cassette format making a bit of a comeback, now may be right time to do it!

It is a shame that the producer of the nearest thing to a proper boombox has stopped production...I've got a black i931 and a completely red bluetooth one and whilst not perfect they're pretty damn cool for a modern one

Holy thread resurrection, Batman. Yes these have stopped production, and apparently there's a new "Lasonic Lifestyles" company, selling lower-quality stuff. Either they purchased the name, or the previous owners just gave it up. You can read about it here:

I had to laugh at that completely wrongly connected equalizer. Who comes up with something like that, haha :lollegs:

I have a 2013 model in red. At one point, it also had a feature where you turned the volume down, which actually made it play much louder. I eventually fixed that, though I don't remember how. I do remember having to redo some internal solder joints because they had come loose over time. But I thought that was for other defects. I'm skipping this model
