Typical Japanese, sidewalk display with thousands of dollars worth of electronics just sitting out.

The Marantz PMS 6820 in the middle 2nd bottom shelf looks like it has red grills, maybe a silver case? I've only seen gold with a tan baffle inside the speaker grill.

A rare look inside the MD assembly process, there's a lot more human involvement than I would have expected in 2001.

Do you have any "Authorized Tool Kits" you can share? I posted my Marantz PMD Repair Kit in the Marantz Thread.

It was from a company brochure, it kind of has a comic book look to it, not sure if that's a photo effect or it's really a drawing. That crane on the top looks like they're still working on the building.

My brains mush, I can't remember if I posted that review in the WA Thread?

Just guessing but I'm going to take the Sony for the win, it was months ahead of anything else.

I've got one of those back in the shop somewhere, I think it's the SX-9 but can't remember for sure. I remember seeing another in a pawn shop for around $30 and thought that was too expensive, now they regularly sell for over $500 USD. I also have the matching TT but can't remember the model number, a higher version of the PL-500? I've been looking for the big tape deck for years but like all Pioneer they used to sell for nothing, now, silly money.
