On page two I posted the Conion Epsilon, which may be the world's largest boombox, I found this on Pinterest, sorry I don't know the original poster. This is different, the eq is on the bottom and there's different branding but it most likely came out of the same factory. 1000 watts!
I'm looking at the model's knuckles. I expect she was pleased to put that down once the photograph was taken. I was going to comment that she is wearing sensible shoes, but maybe steel toecap ones would be more appropriate.
When I looked at a similar one locally, I was surprised how light they are, there really isn't much inside of them but yea, she her hads look like their straining.
Nice box and picture. Those pants say something about the time period this photo was taken, haha Never seen that box before. Double decks and oval speakers. Definitely unique. I don't know of many boxes with oval speakers. I can think of several Sony CF matrixes, Williamson Enviros, Aiwa TPR801, Goldstar TSR540, and Philips AR774. Only the latter actually have them on the front, I think
Soviet as in USSR, which covers a much wider area. From the 1970s up to the collapse of the USSR we could usually buy "Rigonda" Soviet made TVs and some Soviet radios. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/206033132635 There are about eight on eBay UK at the moment so definitely not rare, probably because new they were about half the price of Japanese made equivalents. Rigonda was actually based in Latvia as discussed here https://stereo2go.com/forums/threads/hello-from-latvia.8206/ The cynic in me thinks that the only Russian "contribution" to these products was probably to take all the profits from making them. p.s. They say "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". Sanyo might have had something to say if they tried selling this in their markets. https://radiopagajiba.lv/VEF/260_290/vef284.htm
I recognize this box as I had one back in the day. Returned it within a few as it wasn't up to much! Cost was around £89 or £99 as I recall. It was an Amstrad 7090 I believe. Bought in the early to mid eighties....
