1979 ASC, I'm pretty sure they never shipped these here and have no idea of the build quality. They do have an early LED display that look great with the analog meters. Anybody have any ASC Equipment?

It might not be a mini but it's impressive looking and rare over here. I don't think Blaupunkt made many home stereos, they were huge in car stereos over here, from 1975.

Hitachi Lo-D, I love the look of this. Is it just me or does it look tiny? Anybody know who the girl is?

I could be wrong, but I think it looks smaller than it is because it is a "tape first" mechanism rather than the usual type that has the tape at the side. I guess it is an add on unit as there is no radio, so probably made small to mount under the dash.

No, but I did find this whilst looking. Not a car stereo in sight!

Honestly between beer ads and JDM Audio Brochures, the girls were everywhere! Most of the women were famous in Japan, I mentioned in another thread that JDM grandads are collecting the 80's brochures to relive their youth crushes, hopefully some of them will scan and post their brochures!

Yes, this one is from a Yahoo Japan sale! There were a few pages shown.

I wonder if the JDM Stereos were too colorful to sell in the USA, over here everything was painted black, the dial and LEDs gave the stereos some life but these JDM stereos are really neat.

Sharp Digiturbo, it looks like a pretty neat little stereo but I've never seen one before, anybody have one of these? It looks like it was 69,800 yen, not cheap but not too expensive.

Pioneer 1996, an odd looking unit, I think that's a subwoofer?
