Hi all, it's been a while since my last thread, and I am proud to say that I have upgraded my system since then, I'm now running a Kenwood KA-6100 amp with matching tuner, Kenwood KD-1500 turntable with an Audio technica AT-VM95E cartridge, and I've kept my darling B&W DM-17s (which I didn't need to replace the tweeters of, the old pioneer amp was just bad). As a DAP I use a Fiio snowsky echo mini which in considering replacing. I sadly don't use my system much as the wall power in my country is shotty and regularly dips and rises, with regular power cuts during the summer and lastly could randomly surge especially if there's thunder present which means that there are weeks within months when I fear using my system do to these issues. In the past my father and I lost his Marantz PM-7200 amp due to thunder. And thus, my next upgrade to my system was going to be Uninterruptible Power Supply, however I've read that the cheaper UPS modulate square waves which might not be the best for the transformers. Industrial Voltage conditioners where in the question but I'm not sure where to get one, and if it would protect my system. Lastly I just had a look at A/C line filters on Amazon, which had some specific "audiophile" products, which didn't rub me the right way as they seemed to be overpriced industrial stuff that just has the word "audio" throw in the title and photos (a random example at the end). I'm at a bit of a loss and rather confused about what to get, hence why I'm requesting the advice from you lovely people. The maximum consumption of the KA-6100 is 420 watts, I couldn't find much about the turntable and I rarely use the tuner, when I do, I unplug the turntable and use its plug. Depending on how much you want to spend and also if you are willing to do some DIY modding. You have options like Stromtank, PS Audio Power plant, I use an online double conversion UPS. What I use takes in the AC turns it to DC then recreates a perfect sine wave, plus I set it to out put a constant 240V which is what we use in the UK. I also removed the fans and replace them with very quiet Noctua ones. Like you said, you don’t want use the generic UPS, they are not good for Hi-Fi. I use the Emerson Liebert GXT4 3000VA 2700W, way bigger than what I need but better to have headroom.

I don’t know, you need to check their specs. One thing you must also check is that whatever you get is not a line-interactive as that goes up and down with the voltage. The one I use is not affected by fluctuations as it’s always on, but it eats a lot more power and cost more to run. The line-interactive ones can take over 2+ milliseconds to cut over a double conversion one has 0 latency as it’s always on and your equipment never sees the grid. Mare sure whatever you get gives out a perfect sine wave.
