      I know that we don't see the back or the sides of this Hitachi mini-box in this clear-looking photo', but this unit certainly seems clean and pretty much minty. One of those smaller sound systems that I considered going for a couple of years ago. I suspect that Hitachi meant the TRK-6700H to be a stylish-looking stereo model that wasn't top-of-the-line. Still, it would have been nice if that company included a second shortwave (SW) band and/or a fine-tuning control -- something that JVC, Sanyo and Sharp models were more likely to do. Then again, if a far bigger, fetching model like the TRK-W555W -- dual decks, two SW bands and so on -- lacked fine tuning, what were the chances of a decidedly scaled-down machine like the '6700 being considerate of DX'ing?
