This is a charging board to regulate charge to the attached lipo cell and prevent overcharge, it also stops the cell from becoming overly discharged which is also damaging to this type of cell, the charge board fits inside a hollowed out Aiwa battery shell, a hole is cut to allow the charging board's Mini U.S.B. socket to emerge facilitating plugging in of a suitable charging cable!

As well as the lipo cell and charging board, there is also a voltage regulator giving 2.5V at the rebuilt Aiwa battery terminals suitable for powering Aiwa players

  • The tiny charger p.c.b. board takes care of lipo cell charging/ limit's discharge,
Charge rate amount can be set by changing a resistor on the board I replaced standard charge resistance with a 10k resistor which set constant current to 250 ma charging which was cross referenced with the cell (C) Rating! and found to be the optimum charge rate.
