Aiwa Lead Acid 2Volt types also is one Kenwood branded battery, same type I believe from when Kenwood used Aiwa facilities.

      These original 2 volt lead-acid cells many of which are already useless, this due to chemical process known as sulphation, however in some cases unsealing and adding some water mixed with a little bit of sulfuric acid into the opened battery can sometimes bring the cell back to usefulness, but bear in mind capacity is usually reduced! To and make sure to charge open to allow to vent, higher voltage can help kick start the charge but can also be damaging keep a close eye on proceedings and expect a small amount of hydrogen gas to be produced this is why it's to be done while still open the idea is your reconditioning things and once the gravity of the battery which creates the power has reached I suitable level the whole shabang can be put together pretty much and utilised if you have been successful in this endeavour you will know it soon enough!
