Here is an interesting item , at an interesting Price .At first it seems to be the Holy Grail of Cllectible Walkman But Is it really . The reasons I wonder if it is not are as follows :

1 It is not one of the original numbered Walkman made by Sony specifically foR Liberty's

2 . It is not in its original box as made by Sony for Liberty's . It is has been made speficially to take this Walkman and its accessories . While it is without any doubt a beautiful box .I t is not an original.

3 Is there anything to differentiate this Walkman 701 C from the 250 Produced and numbered by Sony .could it just be an ordinary common or garden 701 c (nice and in perfect condition though it is .

Any comments would be of interest

i have now had time to look further at the picture of the 701c in the sales particulars and it does in fact refer to Tiffany's on the front of the case but it does not have the capital T which ,if I am right ,appears on each of the 250 Limited edition version . It ,therefore ,cannot simply be an ordinary 701C as I thought it could be . So the £3000 question is what is it really worth if it is the only one of its type yet not one of the limited edition nor the original Tiffany Box (but a newly and specially produced box )

This specific one that i guess you are referring looks exactly like the one owned by one of our members.
Are you referring to the one posted from Ireland?

One further thought is it possible that the "Tiffany could be added subsequently by an engraver .I trust not

Hi Boodokhan Yes I was referring to the one from Ireland While I was checking it out I came across the The Tiffany one which I presume is the one you are referring to as owned by one of the members although I recollect it was up for sale at that time What do you make of the one from Ireland which has since been withdrawn for sale for some reason
