    2 Hitachi's, the blacker TRK-8190 I just restored for a fellow member on Facebook boomboxery group & my recently restored & rarer TRK-8290 with different cassette mechanism & much more silvery!

    There used to be a thread on Hitachi where the good the bad and the ugly of this brand was being discussed. But these two blues brothers, Nick... man, they're just lovely! :)

    I was searching for the difference between these two, hitacchi trk-8190 vs hitacchi trk-8290 and came here as I have the Hitacchi trk-8190H version a model I keep forgetting that I do have. I need to go through it and make it sing again.

    Mine's a silver H as well which probably means FM, SW and AM. Great looking boomboxes from Hitachi.
