Picked up a spares/repair WM-EX55 in OK condition, with remote and case. Cleaned battery contacts, cleaned tape selector switches, opened up to check belt - intact and taut. No dice. LED engages with fresh alkaline AA's inserted and cassette in place. No function from any of the body or remote key depresses. No play, no FF/FW. No auto-latching compartment release, doesn't look like the spring is present, but that's minor. Full-logic is nice but it's bloody hard to diagnose c/w mechanical. Any thoughts? TIA Greg
