    Hello,

    Barrie from the Netherlands.
    Hifi lover / analogue lover.
Did make almost my entire HiFi set myself,

    Turntable
    Tonearm
    MC cartridge (not finished)

see topic, lot of dutch speaking. but also lot of pictures.

Also made my own Loudspeakers, using Philips vintage Drivers.

As a profession i am fine mechanic.
    CNC milling, Wire EDM, etc.

Also have deep respect for the Nagra SN models but they are really too expensive for me.
Just bought meself an Sony WM-d3 to play with. Way too expensive for its not working order. But would love to rebuild it and enjoy it. (or might let it be rebuild)
    Not especially a collector.

    Greetings!,

    B

    Welcome to Stereo2go Barrie

If you look through our previous topics one that comes up quite a lot is replacing broken parts in Boomboxes and Walkmans.

Mihokm seems to have perfected a replacement for the infamous DD Centre Gear but there are many other types with problem gears like Old Philips boomboxes.
I have sometimes wondered whether parts could be produced economically using CNC.

Regarding making Hi-Fis in 1979 my college project was making a Stereo Amplifier. I only needed to use a drill, Fly Press and Punches to do the mechanics of that though.
