It took a while but I just got the last little guy, the PC-6. While not even near the weight of his older siblings it's still a substantial box but it seem to be much more rare than the bigger guys. The build quality is slightly better than most mid-line boxes and it actually sounds all right. The tuner pulls in stations nicely but still not as good as the Marantz's. Yamaha makes a ton of cool stuff, now if I could only afford that $500 walkman from Greece on ebay I'd be really happy.

From top to bottom are the Yamaha PC-9, the Yamaha PC-6 and the Yamaha PC-8. Has anybody seen a PC-7, does it exist or did they just skip model numbers? I was surprised to find the PC-6 after a few years of looking I finally found one. The nice thing about Yamaha's is that people seem to have taken good care of them as they always seem to be in near mint condition.
