Maybe some of you have already seen and listened to this set ,
its Nicolas Jaar a very talented DJ using a Lasonic TRC-975
Live on his set from NYC . It amazes me to see it being used and
i m suggesting everybody who loves house music to listen to his 46 min. set
    till the end .

Well that was very cool. Gonna send it to my son who regularly DJ’s in Leeds and Newcastle mostly grime. Might convince him my boxes are cool lol

Sorry i don't see it. Looks like a massive hipster to me sloppily mixing lo fi, low bpm beats poorly. All on laptops to, i saw very little skill evident there. Sorry.

We're old Tre. These new DJ's relish the new tech and normally shun the old. At the very least he's using his boombox as part of the set. Couple that with some CRT TV's in the background, this guys going retro.

I'm more concerned with the zombies surrounding him. One guy's on his phone!!? WTH is wrong with kids? They should be mobbing the dance floor and feeling the beat... Looks like a scene from the Walking Dead..

    Good find Deech!

Its a matter of taste ofcourse !:nodding:
I like Nicolas Jaar a lot and maybe i m not
the most suitable person to speak accurately for
his music because i am a fan but i find it pretty cool
to DJ with a boomer anyway.
As for the Crowd i must agree'' they are just zombie bodies
caught in the glow of a smartphone screen'' like Iggy used to sing
20 plus year ago only for another screen.

Among other lo-fi, ambient, or trip hop, easy listening, lounge, downtempo tracks
i listen to every night before i go to bed is this one from Nicolas Jaar.
    One of my favourites.

Reminds me the music style of those Legendary Releases from GU
15 years ago i used to listen when i was working in Good ol'England.

Espesially the 2nd CD ''Party after the Party'' is a masterpiece.

Dj Brace is staggering, good is an understatement - the music isn't my thang but the mixing & 'Real Scratching' is simply astonishing!!

Leant about a few tracks I never heard before - Iggy track is very much my thing & sounds so early 80's am not sure when it was released!! :reelspin: :reelspin: :reelspin: :reelspin: :reelspin: :reelspin:

DJ Brace is outstanding, i posted this to show what a DJ can do. It's easy to scratch and make a messy noise over beats to but to do it with a musical ear and sympathy for the listener, to make something fresh and listenable is a skill and this guy has crazy skills.

It's funny, i have added some Nicholas Jaar to my bedtime playlist since Deech posted this so something new for me to, i like it a lot  Terrible DJ but produces some excellent tunes.

I confess that Deech has opened my eyes to quite a few artists including B.I.G.

B.I.G. has become a staple on my playlists. I would have never heard of them had it not been for Deech and now I can't get enough!
