Hi everyone, just got my once beloved boombox out to show the kids the coolest old tech & it’s not how I last played it, that’s for sure. It’s been stored in a dry but cold loft for a few years and the sound intermittently drops out totally on the right speaker & even with line-in input or tape selected, the radio will still fire up into life occasionally cutting across selected inputs (using it replace an amp for my youngest’s electric guitar). Any solutions to my problems welcome.

Had exact same symptoms, DeoxIt on Volume and Balance fixed it. Radio/Tape and Stereo/Mono switches should be treated also.
