WOW I have one of these. Brand new in the box. It was given to me but I never used it. It's in a huge bin I have of old and forgotten technology I keep but hope to revive one day. It's right next to my Sony PSP from around the same time amongst other things.

I bought mine years ago as I didn't want an Ipod and wanted something 'different'. Worked fine on my windows 7 pc, but the software isn't compatible with windows 10, and Microsoft seemed to have erased its existence from their files! You can still download the Zune software from Microsoft and it loads onto win10, but it won't work. I've tried compatibility mode on win10, it loads, but the Zune won't sync with it, I think the USB drivers for win10 are missing. I'm glad I kept the old win7 pc now!

Mine is a white 30gb 1st gen, I have used it to death and it still gets carried around with me everywhere, only time I ever had an issue with it was when it locked up due to a software bug when the date changed over one year. Left it 24 hours and it was working fine again. I have 2 docking stations with remotes and sync cables. It also fits perfectly inside a poundshop camera case! Mine has 3658 songs on it (I always rip/download mp3's at 320) and its used 25.97gb, still have 1.82gb free! I downloaded the games onto it too, so sometimes you'll find me playing 'Texas Hold'em', 'Hexic', 'Checkers' or 'Space Battle'.

I run mine off one of the docks on a hi-fi I have here at work, an old Technics SA-X900L that was being thrown away, and a pair of Wharfdale Modus speakers I got for £1 at a bootsale! Sounds great!

Sounds good! To maintain compatibility with these old devices I keep a pc running XP and another pc running Windows 7. Most legacy devices won't work on Windows 10 but you never know.
