    hi fellows,

These are the latest cassettes that I’ve added to my collection. Some of them I found in a flea market and the UCX-S was a gift from my friend Mankamaz.

I’ve never seen one of this tapes in my country:

In fact I wasn’t even aware that they existed.

    Same for this one:

I bet this one is an old SONY clone:

It looks as a bad quality tape but I’m not sure.

And this one is a jewel:

Did you guys knew any of these?

Although most of these seem a little obscure, I really love that Casio Tape. I don't have any Casio Boxes or walkmans but I do have watches, little TVs and their calculators and that tape would look great next to them. There's none on ebay US right now or completed sales so I have to believe it's pretty rare.

Hugo: I think you are correct in the Casio being a Sony. The J-card is similar to the Sony LN tape. I would have to post a photo of one (Sony) I might have around for comparison.

The Sony UCX-S is a great tape. I may have a few around. They are uncommon to find.

The TDK s are common around here, but had variation to the J-cards, with the tape being the same formulation.

It's lovely, indeed. Sad that seems a very bad tape, so I won't be putting into any of my decks...

Yes, I also have that SONY LN and it looks almost the same.
The TDKis quite rare, and there's almost no information about it. It may be one of these products that were simply sold under different names for a particular country.

Casio cassette is an obvious Sony clone. I have several Sony cassette since this one is one of my favorite sony cassettes. I think it is a Sony but Hugo changed it to Casio to see whether or not members can find out :wink2:wink2:wink2

Nooo, ha ha ha. It's not a joke, believe me. It's a real photo.
It looks to me as a clone indeed, and I have the original one too. But you never know... (sometimes clones are not fakes but original).
I'll make a quick test about the sound quality; that will clarify if it comes from Casio or is a real cheap clone.
