1, the stop button acts more like a switch for auto reverse. It changes direction of play but won't stop. PLAY acts as a fast forward, and the FF and Rev work as intended. What's going on? And 2, the auto reverse plays well on the Rev side while the Fwd side sounds wobbly. Is this a belt? Thank you for any help. Here she is:
I've seen this on one of my 701 type mechs before. Usually the buttons work in the same circuit by sensing resistance to know what button is pressed, You can check for breaks/high resistance in the button flex cable first. Hard to troubleshoot, unfortunately. For wobbly FWD side, check for indents on the right side pinch roller (near the headphone jack).
Ah, thanks. I went and opened it up and started taking apart the cogs and noticed that it all stems from some of the cogs not being in the correct position. I think I need to break it all apart and then place them back in the default layout. All the electrics seem fine.
