So, I picked up this Conion tc-999 my first, a few days ago. Most of my radio's work and sound great, aside from a few that need belts and I was able to find those sizes on this great site. I'm anxious to get the one side playing at a time issue resolved, but don't want the box laying around open for weeks. Do not have the room. Want to open, clean and close in one weekend. Clean all switches which should cure issues I'm having. Remove and clean oxidation/corrosion on the speaker covers using warm salt water, vinegar and aluminum foil. And change belts on both decks so I can see those cool cassette lights moving . My question is do the top and bottom decks use the same belts as the Conion c100? I'm guessing they are the same, but would like to be sure. If not, would anybody know the sizes so I can order them now and recommend a place that should have them. Thanks guys. Looking to get this sorted before camping season come April. It needs to be out there.

Thanks, very informative. While my top deck works, it needs a cleaning. But now I know those belt sizes I can order and change them. 15.5 has got to be the biggest belt for a Boombox cassette deck!
The bottom deck, motors work but belts snapped. Guess I'll measure those when I'm in there. The board with the knobs and switches looks like it's easy to get to and clean. Can't wait. Thanks again.

And this is why, my dear friends, I always go with a single-cassette decks/bboxes!!! Cassette dubbing is totally Not Cool!!! Reminds me of my poor childhood, sad thing :(
