My Lust for buying cassette boomboxes is over, as I have finally bought my last boombox
A facebook friend of mine in another country I am really not sure from where as he doesnt list that in his fb page.
He alerted me to this model JVC RC-207S that was ending soon ( thank you ) and I was the only bidder and I won it and now it is enroute to me.
    Here is the listing https://www.ebay.com/itm/323248495486
I do not care that the radio does not work, only that the cassette deck works as I still like to play my cassettes, so this is great for me.
My only question now is simply what is the difference between the model numbers of this one { JVC RC-207S } and this one { JVC RC-207R } Does anybody know?

Following your posts and watching quite a few of your YouTube videos I expected to see some "Limited Edition" gold-plated M90 and such!!! Boombox/lantern - this is funny!
Your "last boombox" looks a bit like mine:

Got it for the price of shipping as a "mini-me" for RC-550, this is my seventh bbox and definitely Not the last one :)

Nice JVC RC-414JW I did not know of or ever see this model before but then I have my own selection of mono mini's of which I am working on presently & this was just not on my radar.
I am done buying boombox, once I get the one I mentioned at the top.

You found it, you dog!!!:) YES, this is mine now, ugly as Hell: once done with it I am going to start a new thread for the ugliest/"shittiest" bbxes resurrected from the dump!

You r done with bboxes, whats next!!??? Walkmans??? I recommend plastic scale modelling: cheap, excruciatingly time-consuming, utterly irrelevant ;) and with zero resale value! Totally Zen!... But when/if I ever finish my Valkyrie model, it will be the best model ever built  So far my best effort is Saab J-35 in 1/48 scale (presented at square-2.com) but the months of detailing will never be seen by mere mortals: at that time I did not think of making cockpit canopy removed, with tiny magnets to snap it down. F-5A I am working on now gets this "upgrade" but so far I could not force anyone to spend more than 5sec onto admiring my "masterpieces" :( Even our good friend @Boodokhan, once I mentioned that there will be a tour around my plastic model jets, immediately realized that he has to go, in a hurry!!:) But I will find a way to drag him here!

I didn’t realise you were still buying any at all...you have soooooo many stockpiled from your buying spree that I thought surely you can’t be buying any more lol.

That said, it’s a cool mono. I know Deech found one

Also i have 2 Toshiba RT-8700 boomboxes with same issue. both of them play cassette but radio only work when you push the play button. So they need your expert attention. I can bring them to you to get them fixed whenever you have time. One for you and one for me. I just need one of them

Any time, just PM me so that I could reschedule my never-ending lab-work!

If RT-8700 won't cooperate, just bring them here for some surgery

I almost bid on one off eBay a few weeks ago, but then stopped myself, I am trying not to get into 3-piecers. The seller had no bids at $50, now lists for $150 with BestOffer option here: Toshiba :) Why so cheap, it looks like an awesome bbox!!!

I completely understand Cassette2go, I quit buying boxes as well, when I post my latest you'll understand. That Toshiba is the fashizzle Jorge, that would have been a good post for the Boombox Deal Thread we need to start when it was $50.00.

I've scoured the Japanese Sites for more information on the JVC RC207 and haven't found anything yet, if I had to guess the different letters usually have to do with the number of bands on the radio.
