    I have been in hostipal again......... :( :( :(

Had a funny turn or experience where I wasn't here with everyone else but back in that dark place I visited after the stroke & mental meltdown/coma in 2013/14........I was at home thankfully where it seems I simply went "Off The Clock" just like last time it happened & was acting in a very strange manner!!

Dog raised the alarm with next door by woofing out of the window until next door lady came & found me very mixed up - I went into a coma again in ambulance & was kept that way for 4 days when I was woken up & felt as fine as i can ever feel, back to (My Normal) if that makes sense! Was allowed home 2 days later!

Glad to be home etc I still feel a little fragile & have what I can only describe as 'Brain Ache' which I am very used to as a stroke victim............it is fading away slowly thank god!

Here's the thing though: NO diagnosis as such, NO explanation or even any advice even from the impossible to see/talk to doctors - my neuro surgeon is away at present & I can rely on him when there, so a meeting is arranged to go through what it could have been............This seems the norm with brain injuries, so little is known about the matter inside our heads, that you feel kind of isolated if you know what I mean.........I can't blame anyone at the hostipal, they are awesome beyond words, it's just that these specialists & brain people are SO hard to pin down for a diagnosis, so I am still alive & feeling thankful I guess, just not sure I can go through anymore of these terrifying episodes!!

Is it just me or does it seem extraordinary that after my brain has thrown a paddy, after a deep sleep I wake up & everything is back to normal with NO memory at all of what happened?? Yet my carer left me & I was just fine until the next day when it happened!! I can still walk talk & do everything like before & am quickly recovering every day - Won't be doing any repairs for a while though lol!!

Well that's pretty much it for now, am cilling out to the sounds of my Silver SR-8800L & have been every day - just playing tape after tape & resting!!

    That's all for now people!!

    Nick :) :) :)

Get better! I look forward to seeing the additions to you collection and I'd say it's great that everything seems back to normal, I have to believe that working on the boxes is good brain exercise.

Glad to see you safe again. What you mentioned about your condition sounds very unusual. When I heard about your medical condition for the first time ( few years ago) I though you might have a hemangioma in your brain or a cerebral aneurysm that can bleed episodically but these conditions can be easily recognized by a CT or MRI.
    Anyway, wish you the best.

People with a history of stroke are prone to get seizures. Majority of patients are unaware of even having had a seizure. This seizure can present in different ways and one of the common pattern is the individual get seizures then goes to a postictal state. Postictal state can last from seconds to days (not common to last more than 30 minutes). So these type of patient usually wake up in the hospital and not aware of what happened.
EEG can help to identify a possible seizure activity. Certain medication can help to prevent these episodes.
I am sure you are in good hands and your doctor can help to identify and treat your condition.

Yeah I am learning about other things that can happen as time goes by.........
I do feel extremely fortunate to be alive & with slow but full movement (& serious loss of sensation & touch on right side) - I have of course seen far worse cases than mine & that is most of them tbh!! Lots of other things happen to you all the time, tiredness that you wouldn't believe for no good reason, sleep deprivation just a couple of examples & constant pain that never gives you a break!! I am a little weak but my mind & brain running at full speed as bloody usual & everything ok until my next overload as I call them!! So many people have partners/family members who have a brain injury so they are familiar with the unknown quantities & mysteries of our brains! Trouble with my mind is that it needs stimulating & always has! ☹ Satisfying it has become much harder now & at times, I go a bit strange only for a short time & I put it down to trying to process too much at once! Have met & talked to a few victims & every story is different & of course pretty heavy stuff to take in.......!!
Like I say, I know I am a lucky guy!!

As my attorney mentioned during a law suit over Yours Truly some years ago, "even a dozen Solomons won't weigh a life in pain over a No Life At All"..., Got stuck in my Mind, but helps me thru my own lowly-bodily failures nowadays... Wish you another 100 years, Nick, you are an inspiration!!! And a nice Dude, can't wait to see more of your resto projects!!!:)

That is a big positive Nick. I know someone who at 90 was still helping out in his Son in Laws computer shop a couple of days a week as he enjoyed doing it and it kept his brain active.
