Forgive my enthusiasm but Lasonic always struck me as one of those brands you'd find at a discount imported goods store, or setup to be an impulse buy at Sam's Club... which I have. I know, I probably shouldn't be such a downer, considering how I struggle to recall the details of bright red unit I almost bought before settling on my Panasonic SGJ-500... which, from what I've seen, pales when compared to similar offerings from JVC and others. But then, I remember how in the day my brother talked me out of buying a model with built-in disco lights from one of those discount goods stores, and think of how much fun having it would've been... Until it got loaned to a local scout troop, like my Panasonic did. Oh well... Thank goodness for eBay, eh?
No ebay here, all my finds are in the wild. I hear what your saying, back in the day I bought a 931 from the flea market( new electronics), a bigger boomer than my sanyo 620. I was disappointed by the tape speed. Crazy about pink Floyd and I noticed it played it a bit slow. Not acceptable. Returned it the next day. I remember that. Now I have three 931s. Play radio and line in on them. Lol. A Lasonic 935 was what got me collecting these beauties. And the sound to my ears was amazing and the lights on the equalizer. Just cool. Boomboxes all sound different, look different, and have a unique quality. That's why I was ecstatic to find this. 23 minutes after it was posted. Hour drive later in pouring rain it was mine. Sweet. I'm loving the look and sound all over again. Mary j came on for an hour, my girl started dancing on me. All good where I am.
Very nice and three in one box!! I visit that site often and read your post, but not member so couldn't reply there.
