I’m new to the page so apologies if this has been asked before. Does anyone have a list of old boomboxes which have a line in? My friend has the Sharp GF-555 and he can plug his iPod into the back of it. That’s what I want when I buy one soon.
There's hundreds of thousands of models, and probably half of them have that capability. It will say Line In, Aux, CD/Aux, or Phono which works similar although you need to turn the input volume and bass way down. So a better question would be, what kind of style boombox are you looking for.

I would look for a specific "line in" position on a control. It will often be a third position on the Radio - Tape selector switch. Otherwise you can be in the silly position where Line In only works when you put the cassette deck into record. As Reli says there are hundreds to choose from. My guess would be most in the upper 50% price wise when new. 90s boxes incorporating CD players often lost the line in as they assumed you had all the sources you needed, but it came back in as MP3 players became popular. The Sony in my Avatar has line in on a 3.5mm jack. A feature you might find interesting is that on some 80s boxes you can switch the line input between normal and RIAA, which is the level and tone equalisation you need when connecting a standard record deck. Such a switch is often on the back next to the sockets.
If you want to get creative, you don't really need the line-in, you can use Blue-Tooth either internally in the iPod or with a headphone adapter and a cassette receiver in the box. I also just bought a cassette with a headphone jack at the dollar store since I wanted to listen to my phone and didn't have anything else on hand. It has a cord and may interfere with the door.
I remember the old plastic cassette with the wire sticking out. I wasn’t aware you could get a bluetooth one. Very clever stuff. I want an older 80s one, tape and radio, don’t want anything as modern as a cd one. It’s taking me back to what I wanted when I was a little kid in the early 80s, listening to hip hop and breakdance stuff.

Only issue with that is, it feeds the audio through the tape heads, so if the tape deck is low quality, the sound will be too. I'd say 70-80% of boombox tape decks have bad sound, even after being cleaned, serviced and demagnetized. They just weren't given quality circuitry like a home hifi deck.

Yes all of these are: IMG_0360 Conion C-100F Technisonic Conion TC-999 Conion C-126F Conion C-126F the Hyper Sound model only has a woofer and a midrange. There was another model that only had a woofer and a tweeter but no midrange! but I do not know that model number but I have seen it Conion TC-999 is a true Three-way with a woofer and a midrange and a tweeter Conion C-100F is also a true three-way and it also goes by other brand names like Helix an Clairtone there may be more models but I just know of these.

Very nice box Bmx-Steve, time for a BMX Bike and Boombox thread! I used to have a cassette tape with an SD card, you could play your MP3's with a little handheld remote, I don't think the quality was that great but the hockey team didn't care, they just liked checking out the boxes.
Pictures please. Google pictures show quite a big box. You won't be putting that on your BMX handlebars
I have one as well... along with another from Blutech, I believe. Can't wait to get the belts in my Awia replaced to try the latter with it. ("Pills" suck!) Betcha BMX-Steve had one strapped to the bars of his bike in the day, like a couple of friends of mine once did! While I'm here, I'd like to mention how my Panasonic SG-J600L has a line-level input... It's listed on the controls as CD but--as with any home receiver--unless it says mag-cart phono, anything with a line-level output can be plugged into it.
