I’ve been wanting one of these for a long time and finally got the opportunity from a seller in Belgrade Serbia! It’s a Universum Senator CTR 2312M. A German boombox with beautiful styling! 4 radio bands, Dolby NR, recording level control, heavy duty cassette deck mechanism.

It just needs a bit of cleaning, new cassette belt and some Deoxit on the knobs.

Nice. Does it say where it was made ?

Even if we assume a German speaking country that includes Austria and Switzerland.

This should give you some insight on”Universun” (Quelle)

It was most likely manufactured in Taiwan being that’s where my AKA Zenith R 99 was made.

Reading through the Wiki page, the 4 pin plug is probably to connect the 'Dryfit gel battery' pack

Those lights turned out great, I'm hoping the radio dial has a light and seeing what you do with it.
